The staff went out of their way to help in many little ways. The dining room served dinner even when it was already closed. The off-the-beaten-path location was quiet, unusual, and had a great walkable area. The hotel had a perfect location, being quiet and leafy but also on several bus routes and within a few minutes walk from the gardens, museums, galleries, and shopping of central Dublin. The hotel was a beautifully restored and repurposed historic school building. Each guest room was individually decorated in Arts and Crafts style and named after an Irish writer. The a la carte breakfast, bar food, and restaurant were all excellent. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The hotel offered onsite parking, which was a bonus considering its closeness to the city.
Felt safe, no complaints.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, as it was in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to most attractions. The hotel facilities were stunning, with beautifully preserved woodwork and vaulted ceilings in the shared spaces. Additionally, the breakfast options were amazing and made to order, with a breakfast "bar" available as well. Lastly, the staff were so attentive and friendly throughout my entire stay.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like about this hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located just next to an air coach stop, making travel to and from the airport cheap and convenient. It's also not far from the center of the city, with a 20-minute walk to the city center. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with funky and quirky bathrooms. The staff are friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. There is a bar and restaurant on-site, serving delicious food and wine. The hotel also offers free parking for guests.
Some guests reported noise disturbances from other guests slamming doors in the early morning.

This place is amazing! I loved the convenience of its location. It was situated on a bus route from the airport, with the air coach stop just next door, which made travel to-and-from the airport cheap and very convenient. Moreover, this venue was located in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance of the city centre, so we could experience the classic sights. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the excellent receptionist who greeted us to the bar staff and especially Brian in the restaurant. Lastly, I was impressed with the leisure garden area and facilities, such as the free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, and luggage storage.
I would highly recommend this hotel to my family.

We had a fantastic stay at this place! The location is just perfect, with easy access to the airport through the nearby air coach stop. We also loved that it’s located in a historic building in a beautiful leafy spot by the canal. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful, from the male receptionist who warmly greeted us to the bar staff and especially Brian in the restaurant. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We really appreciated the little extras like ironing facilities, tea and coffee amenities, and free toiletries. Plus, the hotel offers a great range of services, including room service, dry cleaning, and laundry, making our stay even more convenient.
Definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel had a great location for us, with easy access to the college and other attractions we wanted to see. the hop on hop off bus stop was also nearby, making it convenient to explore the city. We really enjoyed the unique and boutique atmosphere of the hotel, as it was different from anywhere else we've stayed.
The room we stayed in was quite small and cramped, especially the bathroom. It was difficult to move around in the shower due to the awkward placement of the showerhead.

The hotel was a unique and comfortable place to stay. the rooms were gorgeous, and they would typically cost three times as much in a big chain hotel. the bathroom was great, and everything was clean and well-maintained. the breakfast was superb, and I loved the fact that the hotel was close to the city centre. the fast wifi was a big plus, and the staff were friendly and helpful. it was a fantastic experience.
Everything was perfect, and I had a wonderful time.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, perfect for a peaceful stay. There are a few good eating places within walking distance and it's just a short stroll to other southern suburbs. there are some nice pubs nearby open until late hours. The room we had was basic and comfortable, with clean bedding, and nice vintage decor. The bathroom was also spotless and had all modern facilities. We enjoyed the room advantages such as a kettle and free Wi-Fi.
The restaurant served breakfast, but it wasn't very fresh.

The Schoolhouse Hotel offers stunning architecture and historical building, with spacious and comfortable rooms named after famous literary figures. The hotel provides informative and interesting pictures and wall hangings, along with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities, and a nice bathroom with a decent shower. The ground floor room with outside access through bedroom doors is fantastic, especially for those with physical handicaps. The staff is very helpful and friendly, making it a great value for money.

We stayed at the charming Schoolhouse hotel for a few days during our visit to Dublin. The hotel is located in a beautiful and safe neighborhood, with a lovely tree-lined canal that made for enjoyable walks. It was also conveniently situated near popular attractions such as Trinity College and museums, either within walking distance or a quick bus-ride away. As educators, we appreciated the hotel's unique setting in a repurposed school building, maintaining its old charm. The fireplaces in the hotel were warm and inviting, adding to the cozy atmosphere. The breakfast offered a delicious variety of choices and the connected rooms were perfect for our family.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The hotel's restaurant had top-notch service and delicious food. I reserved a table for 11 and the staff took care of us from start to finish. Everyone in my group loved their dishes and we ended up spending the afternoon by the cozy fire in the bar.
